Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Q1: What is a Cycle?

   A: ≈ 10 turns (or 10 seconds)

1 Cycle = Time to fill Rage Bar

Q2: What is Damage  Factor?

A: Damage Factor is universal measure of damage.

Each hero skill or Artifact shows exact Damage Factor it deals on use.

Example: Nico´s Rage Skill “Piercing Shot” deals 1400 Damage Factor.

In this Example, Nico and Berserk Pet would do identical damage over 1 Cycle

Q3: Is Damage Factor what I see during game when I attack enemies?

A: No. What you see during fight on screen is
(Total Damage) = (Damage Factor) multiplied by your [(Legion Attributes: Attack; damage increases) + (Legion size)].

This is of course reduced by (Enemy Defence) in the end.

Q4: Why do you use Cycles?

A: It is the easiest understandable duration (like DPM / Damage per minute).

Duration of cycle can be sped up with Rage adding talents / skills.

Q5: Is the Total Damage per cycle the damage my pet does every cycle?

A: Not exactly. Due to % proc (trigger) chances on various skills, crit rate % and such, I use averages.

In short: Over 100 cycles, it is the damage average per 1 cycle.

However sometimes you may crit and do more, sometimes you may not crit and do less.

Q6: How accurate are your numbers?

A: The crit rates and pet damage dealing skills are in general (per skill) very accurate. That means around 1% deviation.

You can test it by changing value of 1 skill (crit rate / main talent without buffing skills) and verifying the values in your pet skill book.

Q7: Are your damage calculations formulas correct?

A: Unfortunately I cannot 100% confirm. The correctness of end values was tested through observing multiple battle logs and verifying the numbers.

The formula used is simple output formula:

  [

(Damage Factor * Critical rate % * (1+Critical damage %))

(Damage Factor* Non-critical rate % * (1+Non-critical damage %))

]

 *
(Total damage increase)

 =
Total Damage

It may not be completely correct!

!! Use this builder at your own risk !!

Chain Strike is still under research. Take its numbers with a grain of salt.

Q8: How much has the builder been tested?

A: Significantly. It has been through hands of multiple people who have played with it and reported bugs.

       There may still be issues.

If you find any, please report them. Thank you

Q9: What about the stacks on Berserk Faedrake or Sapphire Faedrake?

A: Berserk Faedrake can reach 9 stacks on heroes with “Control” talent tree.

Typical candidates would be Kinnara + Nico, or Forondil + Theodore.

Sapphire Faedrake stats (as you can read on the skill description ingame) are applied by Freezing, Scorching or Ensnaring opponents. This can be done by most mages.

Q10: Is that the case with Night Roc too?

A: Damage of Night Roc was based on fully awakened Syndrion + Ffraegar legion.

Damage on other legions would be significantly lower.

(This would be because Ravage skill only triggers when legion causes a critical hit using Normal Attack (check Ffraegar´s rage skill).

Q11: Chain Strike and Wild Chain Strike show wrong damage.

A: No, they do not. As mentioned earlier, the Total Damage per Cycle is based on average damage per cycle (7-10 turns in most cases, here 10).

Chain Strike shows 5x the value it should because given you have 50% to proc, you get 5 procs per cycle (10 turns).

For Night roc, the value is increased due to more normal attacks.

Q12: Why does Outburst of Rage not increase my pet´s damage?

A: The Total Damage per Cycle is based on approximately 7-10 turns, which is based on your legion´s rage regeneration.

Outbursts of rage increases rage buildup, however it does not increase damage per cycle.

In short, Outbursts of rage increases damage per minute, but not damage per cycle. What you see in this builder is only damage per cycle.

Outbursts of Rage will be added soon.

Q13: Why are there no Legion buffing skills like Manic Might, or Light´s Guidance?

A: In order to add these, one would need to figure the total damage output of a legion, which is tricky due to various levels of skills on heroes and artifacts.

The calculator for legion output damage may come later.

Legion buffing skills however did not prove to have as much effect as pet damage skills.

  Short Example: Emrys + Bakshi

Cycle length: 7 turns (give or take)

Normal attack damage: = 7 * 200 (7 normal attacks, each doing approximately 200 Damage Factor)

     Skill Damage Factor = 1400 1500

     Total Damage Factor (Legion) = (7 * 200) + 1400 1500 4300 Damage Factor

Please keep in mind that additional Hero skills & Hero Talents (Skill damage increases and total damage increases) were not used in this example.

Fully upgraded Golden Roc can deal around 4000 Damage Factor. That is around 500 Damage Factor per applied Pet skill.

A pet with 8 skill slots, great attributes and high star skills deals almost damage of whole legion.

Adding a Manic might (e.g.: increasing Physical Attack from 180 to 185%) is far from adding such a value.

Q14: Are you a developer?

A: No, everything you see here was made only for my own better understanding of the game and min-maxing.

I did not check any internal code, decoded scripts or anything of that sort. Everything in here is 100% observable in battle logs and pet inventory.

When I saw that my friends and alliance kept asking about regenerations and comparisons, I figured this would be the easiest way to help them.

Q15: Where are other pets? Are they coming too?

  A: Yes.

Q16: When can we expect them?

A: All pet builders are already finished in my personal documents.

However, it does take time and effort during my free time to convert them into Web-based version.

Q17: Will they all be for free?

    Yes, whenever they are finished.

Any support in any form would greatly help and may have an effect on the time it takes to publish them.

                                                                                                              Thank you
